Since moving to Washington 7 years ago, we had heard about the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley and how amazing it was. Well, 7 years later, we finally made it a point to go check it out and it was amazing. There is nothing to compare it to, it is just incredible. Tulips are my favorite flower, so FIELDS of them were awe-inspiring. We spent the day with the Bailey's and enjoyed the HUGEST ice cream cones as we headed out of town.

Spring Break 2009- Museum Day!

On a not-so-spring-break day Rachel, Jen, Shar and I decided to take the kids to the Children's Museum in Everett (fab museum). It was a fun day!

What an amazing welcome to Spring Break this day was! It was shorts weather (like 75 degrees) and perfectly sunny. Perfect day for the zoo. Rachel, Marlo, Amanda, and I braved the nice weather and Spring Break week to hit the zoo. It was a fabulous day. When I asked the kids what was their favorite part of the zoo, they unanimously decided that the orangutan urinating off the edge of a hanging platform, was by far the best part of the day. Wow. Okay then.

Wyatt had his Kindergarten Program in March. It was so cute. They did a little musical from the book Stone Soup. Unfortunately I didn't get the memo that they were supposed to be dressed in old fashioned clothes, so I sent him to school in some warm up pants and a normal shirt. No biggie if he was one of the many standing in the sea of kids, but he actually had a solo singing part (which was ADORABLE!). Oops. Bad mom moment. Oh well. It was so cute and he carried the tune to his solo so well. I'm so proud of him.
