"Mom, What team are we going to beat this time?"
Wyatt has entered the world of sports and is loving it! He joined T-ball this Spring and his team is the Yankees... He pretty much wears his hat 24-7! Every day when I tell him there is a T-ball game he asks, "What team are we going to beat this time?" I always have to laugh...what he REALLY is asking is what is the name of the team we are playing ( ie. Cardinals, Mariners etc..)
but he can't seem to remember that when I rephrase it for him...Oh well!

Here's the Boy!
So, after 39 weeks of waiting, our caboose has arrived! Talmage Allan Reynolds was born on Friday, May 16th at 6:23 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 1/4 inches long. Talmage is after a favorite author of ours, James E. Talmage. Allan is my father's middle name.
After 3 very textbook deliveries, what more could we expect then to have one little kink thrown into the mix! Talmage decided to make things interesting when I was about 7 cm dialated, by wrapping his shoulder and chest into the cord and holding onto it with this hand for dear life. This resulted in him cutting off his oxygen with every contraction, and his heart rate would plummet. The nurses were worried and got all the necessary preparations ready for a C-section, but I was able to hold it out by being "complete" pretty soon after. The doctor didn't give me much time to push, and just suctioned his head out and pulled him out as fast a possible. He had a hard time catching his breath from the race to be pulled out, but managed to start breathing soon after.
He is a wonderful baby and we are so happy to have him here! The kids love him. Eden is a little more clingy to me than usual so I think this will be a big change for her. Wyatt is in love with his new brother, and Kesley loves him too. We just feel so blessed to have these 4 wonderful kids in our family!
Here's the Room....
So, after some MAJOR nesting going on in our house, we were able to get the baby's room up and running before he arrived. I decided to go with the old "sock monkey"theme for the room. My great friend, Rebecca, had turned me on to a Moda Fabric line of sock monkey fabrics that I fell in love with. So I made a quilt and bed skirt in those fabrics, and then highlighted the room with tan/chocolate brown and red to tie it all back to the beloved monkey! I'm so happy with how it turned out! I've never done a nursery top to bottom like this before, so I figured I'd go all out for our last one!

Tagged--I'm It!
This is a fun tag so I thought I would respond even though it's midnight and I should be in bed!
Here are the rules:
1. link the person who tagged you.. (Thanks Laurie..this was fun to have to think about my psychotic tendancies!)
2. post these rules
3. tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them
6 quirks of mine:
1. I talk to myself..no actually it's much worse than that. I have conversations with other people in my head. The only problem is that they aren't converstaions I have in my head, I have these imaginary conversation out loud...only, I say MY part of the conversation OUT LOUD and then the person I'm having this imaginary conversation with, is responding to my comment IN MY HEAD. I have been caught SEVERAL times in my life doing this and it is REALLY bizarre. So it's like you hear someone talking to someone in the other room, but they are not there and all you hear is one person's side of the conversation..it makes PERFECTLY logical sense in my mind, but to noone who is listening... I heard talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence right? Just justifying my crazy mind!
2. I have major phychological problems going #2 at other people's homes. Just as an example, I went 7 DAYS without going #2 on my honeymoon because my mind would not let me..I won't get into more details then that...all I can say is that my toilet and I have a deep connection, and I don't want to share that with any other toilet.
3. I rub my feet together at night to fall asleep, it's always in the same direction and the same foot motion...it starts fast and gradually gets slower as I doze off into the dreamy abyss.
4. I cannot take on a project that does not have an end. (hence scrapbooking is OUT!) I am a list girl. I will write a list for the week, and meticulously scratch off each thing accomplished with happiness and glee. If I did something that was NOT on my list, I will write it down, just so I can scratch it off.
5. My idea of vacation= packing in as much adventure and site seeing as possible from sun up to sun down. Ben's idea of a vacation= doing nothing but relaxing at the pool . A little disconnect there! But we have managed to come to a middle ground...actually let me rephrase that, Ben has decided to just give in to my wild adventures! When we went to Kauai last summer, I had every day planned to a tee. I DID compromise by putting in one afternoon of relaxing at the pool for Ben's sake..what a thoughtful wife I am!!!
6. I over analyze everything (refer to above mentioned converstations with myself)! Much to Ben's chagrin! I totally grill him on conversations he has all the time. He has told me that if I'd like he could just start carrying around a hidden recorder so I could hear every detail of every conversation that I find important...tempting...very tempting!
Wow..I'm crazy!
