Kesley--My girly girl through and through!

I feel like I've had lots of posts about Wyatt and some on Eden but not much on Kesley so I thought I would take a minute to just tell her how much I love her! Kesley is my girly girl. She loves princesses, babies, lipstick (really chapstick), skirts and dresses (won't even touch pants). She often tells me that I look pretty and wishes she had a skirt, shirt, or whatever I am wearing, just like mine. She loves her sister and brother so much and is such a good friend to both of them. She is very sensitive and does not like to be reprimanded. If this happens, the waterworks fly and the run to her room to cry and cry is inevitable. She loves to obey and loves to be called a "peacemaker"..that just makes her day. She is getting better at being a good helper to me when I ask her to do something. I am so grateful to have her as my first little girl..I think we will have a lot of fun through the years!

Wyatt: my little worker man!

The past few Saturdays have been spent with Ben re-organizing the garage...This is Wyatt's dream day. He loves to get out Ben's tools and work on his own projects. He actually put together with nails, hammer, and scrap wood the little "tool bench" he is working on in this picture. He is so much like his daddy..and I love it!

Tucker's Baptism!

A shout out to Tucker who was baptised on June 6th! What a great little nephew he is. He is such a happy boy and always smiling and laughing. I'm so glad my kids were able to see his baptism and get excited for their own..Thanks for your great example Tuck!

Talmage's Blessing

Talmage was able to be blessed on June 7th while my dad was still in town. Ben gave him the blessing and it was wonderful. My mom had started a journal for me with my baby blessing and so I have made it a point to have my kids' blessings written down so they can look back and see how far they have come. I am so grateful to have Talmage in our family. I feel like he was just waiting to join our madhouse and he's finally here. Welcome aboard!

To the Zoo we go!

Wyatt's Preschool had an end of year field trip to the local zoo here at the beginning of June. So all nine of the kids in preschool came with a parent and siblings and we headed out. We have only been to this zoo one other time. I quite enjoy it. It was my first outing out with all 4 of the kids. My mom was still in town helping so she was the life saver! Here are some pics of the day!

Eden Turns 2!

Well with Talmage arriving just a couple weeks before, I wasn't in any state to plan a kid birthday party, so we went with the great standby of a good old fashioned family birthday. My parents were in town for the blessing of Talmage and of course, my brother and family live down the street. So we all got together for cupcakes and ice cream and pizza. I made blue cupcakes with a question mark on each of them to honor Eden's fascination with the color blue (every color is blue to her) and with asking WHY? every milisecond of the day.

Here is a typical conversation with Eden:

Let's get dressed Eden.

Why?

So you can be ready for the day.

Why?

So we can go to the store.

Why?

So we can get food for us to eat.

Why?

So we don't starve.

Why?

So we live.....and so on and so on!!

I always heard about kids who incessantly ask their parents "Why?" but never experienced it until Eden. It is endearing and annoying at the same time!

So, Here is to our little Edy-boo! She is such a great little girl! She loves to hug and show any type of affection she can to her family. She is the most social of all my kids. She loves to smile with her whole face. She has the highest pitched scream that has ever been recorded by a human. She is an innately happy girl who adores her brother and sister. People always comment to me that there is something about Eden that just makes you want to eat her up, and I totally agree. We can't imagine our family without the little ball of sunshine she brings to our family! We love you Eden!
